The propane industry sets high standards for safety, and propane service companies like ours adhere to stringent government regulations. However, our customers must know about the safe handling and use of propane. That’s why we’ve put together some safety tips for you.

What to do if you smell gas

Propane does not have a natural scent, but propane producers add an odorant that smells like rotten eggs, spoiled meat or skunk spray, making a gas leak instantly recognizable. We also recommend that you install UL-listed gas detectors. Carbon monoxide detectors, while essential, don’t detect gas leaks.
